[00:48] that's, [00:49] Offline and online. That's not right. [00:52] That's not a great way to describe it. URL and IRL. URL and IRL. That is made up of people who are curious about the new internet. Uh-huh. Curious about the intersection of culture and... [01:06] Technology. [01:08] And building at that intersection and having a really good time while they're doing it. So we have this podcast, which is fun. This is a weird episode if you're joining us. Yeah, if this is your first episode, it's kind of an odd one. Feel free to listen. Yes, great job. Great improvement on the sales tactic. We have a newsletter, link in show notes if you want... [01:30] like just thoughts and humor on the Web3 space. We do events. We have a Discord community. Apply to that on our website and jump on in. The water is pretty cold these days with where the industry is at, but we're having a good time. [01:49] In Boys Club, they're very, very warm. So you'll be always welcome. But yeah, kind of a tough time. But that's okay. We're carrying on. It's time for reflection and for thoughts and for hope. Leave room for magic. What the fuck is that saying that Meghan Markle has? I don't know. I know. I remember when she said it in the series, but I can't remember what she said. Okay. I think leave room for magic. Leave room for magic. [02:15] Love wins. [02:19] So give this podcast a listen. Let us know what you think. And thank you to our sponsors, MinPay. They've been great, great friends of the pod this year. They make it fast and easy to buy crypto using Apple Pay, your debit card, your credit card. They just integrated with Uniswap. That was huge, huge. So now you can just- Huge news. [02:42] Credit card on Uniswap, amazing for... [02:45] this industry and for Moonpay. Moonpay.com. Moonpay.com. Check it out. [02:56] Okay, we're going to start with a little bit of a feelings check-in. [03:00] Um...
[03:01] I'm curious if you want to do a feelings check-in for the year or a feelings check-in for this moment. Oh, I was thinking just a feelings check-in for this moment. Yeah. Okay. Okay. I guess the rest of the episode is basically a feelings check-in for the year. Yeah. The feelings check-in for this moment is... I can tell. I can say mine. Oh, great. Go. [03:18] So, um... [03:20] I've spent the last couple days like [03:22] you know, in true like end of year fashion. [03:26] trying to be like, okay, what am I going to do in 2023? Like, what are the goals I'm going to set? What are the... [03:32] what are the structures I'm going to put into my life like that will... [03:35] Set you up for success. Set me up for success and like turn me into a whole new person. [03:40] I saw this TikTok where this girl was like, sometimes I get TikToks that are like heavy, like manifestation TikToks where it's like. [03:50] Where it's like sort of, [03:51] She was talking about like, okay, here's how you like do like guided, like guided manifestation. Yeah. Like, like, here's how, here's. [03:59] how I do manifestation work. And, and she was like, I use this technique called scripting, where it's like you start off with like, basically a vision board, and then every night you're journaling. [04:10] Um, [04:11] With like a sense of gratitude, like having achieved the things that you put on your vision. I don't know. It was kind of weird and I don't fully understand it, but it started with a vision board. Okay. And. [04:22] I understand the power of that as a tool. Yeah. So I was like, the past couple days have been like, I need to do a vision. I want to do a vision board. I've never done one before. Like, I want to like... [04:30] Do it.
[04:31] And so I've been thinking about that and I've been thinking about like what would go on it. It's just like... [04:36] $100 bills. Yeah, just for all cash. It's just money. And like, I can't. [04:43] I can't figure out what to do it on. Like, I'm like, do I, like, go to CVS and buy, like, poster board? Oh, my gosh. You're really going to make a vision board? Well, or do I, like, do it online? Like an arts and craft. No, I feel like the point is to – [04:56] Like, I don't know, work with your hands. You think that is the point? I think it's like, this is what I would do if you told me, hey... [05:05] end of year activity for us as co-founders to do vision boards. This is how I would approach that work. I would... [05:12] spend some time online. [05:14] Pulling some images, pulling some things that I. Okay. And then. Pulling the images online. Pulling the images online. Not like getting a. Because I was like, okay, should I just like get some magazines? And then I'm like, but then my visions are like shaped by what the. Yeah. That's tough. [05:28] No. Editorial board. I mean, I think if you saw something in a magazine and you wanted to have it on your vision board, more power to you. And then I would print all those things out and then I would put them on a board. So you have a gold printer. [05:38] I think a what? [05:40] I know you have to go a printer at your disposal. [05:44] You're going to run into some obstacles. Like I'm just like there's so – Or just like make a Pinterest board. [05:49] That's a low lift. That's a low lift approach. I know, but then I'm like spending more time. Part of what's on my vision board is like spending less time online. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, totally. And so... It's just like a... [05:59] a picture of a cell phone with an X through it. So I just am feeling discouraged that like I can't even get this one thing. You're feeling discouraged about the status of your vision board. Yeah, I am feeling discouraged. Why if I can't even fucking figure this out? Like,
[06:15] what there's no hope that's so sad so that's my feeling check-in i'm trying to keep up hope but i'm like man like why can't i even do this i mean what's your you go to your tiktok manifestation girl and be like literally dm her and be like excuse me ma'am where are you doing this vision board [06:29] Like, just tell me. Someone tell me. [06:31] How and why? I think they'd say like on a poster board. [06:35] But I don't know. There's something about that that feels like... [06:37] Anyway, tell me what's on your, what's your feeling? I'm excited for you. Um, my feeling, oh my gosh, I had, I had a feeling and then it escaped me. Um, yeah. [06:49] I'm feeling... Oh, this is what I'm feeling. Okay, so I... [06:55] used to have a very... [06:58] Like pretty disciplined, a journaling practice. And I... [07:04] I had taken and I was like, man, I have, it's been years. It's post basically like, uh, yeah, probably two years. And so I was like, I should spend some time. [07:12] over, you know, reflecting, doing some work, looking inward. And so I grabbed an old notebook. I grabbed an old notebook. I got on the plane, whatever. I... [07:24] Look, I start... [07:25] trying to write the other day and I was like oh my gosh this is hard and then I was like I'm just gonna start reading through these old entries and I tough for me it was it was one like embarrassing you're just like of course I don't want to see this and and my journaling journaling it sounds so freaking stupid but like it's like um it's like morning pages like the idea is to get like all of this shit out of your head in the morning yeah that's actually not meant to be read again
[07:50] Yeah, I know. But I was like sort of curious. I was just like, I couldn't help myself, honestly. I've never done that before. [07:58] But one of the things that I was like, wow, this was actually most of it felt embarrassing and just like, oh, my gosh. But one of the things that was actually so like heartwarming is it was during the time where you were. [08:12] you were deciding if you were going to join All Call as a co-founder. And you had been like, I'm going to go on vacation for a week and I'm just going to think it through and get back to you. And I was like... [08:21] I was like, I really, I'm really trying to hold this with an open hand basically. And was like, I really want this to happen. And it's so cool. Like I was like, wow. That's so nice. Manifestation. Manifestation. And I was like, wow, look at this years later. [08:35] I'm just hopping on a podcast at like 7 a.m. just trying to make it all work. Anyway, so I'm feeling grateful for that and sort of that like reflection moment. [08:46] Um, my main feeling is like, um, [08:49] Trying to set intentions for the year without letting myself just get stressed about setting those intentions. Totally. And that's like a difficult balance. But... [08:59] And a little bit, I'm excited about the future. I'm excited about 2023. I'm, as Meghan Markle would say, [09:08] leaving some room for surprise or something. Okay. Next question. Favorite purchase. Okay. So I had a few, I had some purchases this year because, um, I went from doing a startup salary to a normal person's salary. Um, and that was really fun. Um, so a few purchases and that's not with boys club. That's with my day job. So I got the Pangea sweatsuit, which I had looked at
[09:38] this is the stupidest purchase. And I have worn this thing [09:41] Basically every single day. It is so comfortable. It looks great. It fits great. You feel good. You look good. I love that. So that was probably my favorite. And then one of the stupider purchases that I've had this year that I still love is I got like... [09:55] That a majorly oversized blazer from Frankie shop. If anybody knows this blazer, it's so stupid and I love it. And that was my, that was, those are some, have I seen you wear the blazer? Um, no, I don't think you've seen me in it yet. I don't think I've seen you in the blazer yet. So those were some purchases. What about you? [10:14] Okay, so I have two. One, this podcast mic... [10:18] Oh. It's actually probably been the most impactful purchase. Wow. I think for both of us. I love that. That's so true. It travels well. It's great. It travels well. Shout out to the Shure. Yeah. We'll put... In the Lincoln show notes. Or Amazon affiliate Lincoln show notes. Yeah. [10:34] It's... [10:35] Yeah, it's been an inflection point for us to have these mics. So I think that's probably the most impactful purchase. My favorite purchase has an unfortunate ending. It was jeans that I bought while I was at ECC in Paris. What's that department store? [10:53] Grand Marche. Oh. Is that what it's called? The Balmarche. [10:56] Le Bon Moche. Yeah. Had such a great time. I like took the morning off. I went there. I was having such a wonderful time walking around by myself. I have two kids. So like the opportunity to like shop and be by myself is like such a gift. And so I had this wonderful morning.
[11:10] Just strolling around, [11:12] found these jeans, got them, [11:15] And they were amazing, like incredible jeans. That's a huge win. Huge win. And so I take them home and I'm like, [11:22] Um, [11:24] They're a little bit big around the waist, just as like a tiny bit, tiny bit big. And so I was like, okay, I need to get these taken in. So I asked my husband, I was like, hey, can you bring my jeans in to get altered? I want to take him in an inch and a half on the waist. [11:39] He's like, Roger, got it. He takes them in. [11:42] I got them back a week later and... [11:44] I put them on. I'm like, man, I must be really skinny. I'm tiny. I'm so skinny because this waist, an inch and a half, it didn't even – nothing. [11:56] And then I look at the hem and they're short. I hate this story. I hate this story. It's the worst. He denies everything, my husband. And in fairness, like he took him in and he did me a favor. So like I'm not going to throw him under the bus for this. He denies that everything. [12:12] He says that he said, he, inch and a half the waist. [12:16] Oh. And anyway, the story is that they took about an inch and a half at the hem. Okay. So it wasn't that he... [12:24] had a miscommunication with you. He claims there was a miscommunication with the lady. [12:31] With the alterations place, yeah. Yeah. And so they... [12:35] understood him to say, [12:37] Inch and a half at the leg. So now the jeans are too short. They're too short and they're too big.
[12:42] They're too short and like I can't bring them in again. Like I just – I can't do it. [12:48] Anyway, tragic, tragic ending, tragic ending. I'm so sorry about that. Okay. So next question here, most surprising thing about 2022. [12:58] You go first. I go first? Oh, okay. I'm asking myself this question. That I'm working in crypto. [13:06] I love that. The most surprising thing. I never, ever would have thought that. So that's the most surprising thing about 2022 for me. What about you? Nice. [13:14] I think the most surprising thing for me was how quickly it all failed. Like the industry. [13:22] At what breakneck speed? It just crashed and burned. It crumbled. Yeah. I mean, that was really surprising. This is the showbiz. [13:32] It's going to come back up. Oh, totally. You're a full believer. I'm feeling fully at peace with it. And... [13:40] the things that failed and are failing. [13:42] are arguably the right things to be failing and have failed. So I feel... [13:48] I feel fully at peace with it. I know [13:50] It's just a cyclical thing and... [13:53] It's time to build. Time to build. [13:57] It's shocking. [13:59] It was shocking. It was shocking how fast... [14:02] And working in like, so during the day I work at Cello, which is layer one. And so [14:09] just like constantly being... [14:11] really in a reactive mode for many months to try and like,
[14:16] Just... [14:18] be... [14:19] Like, and already working in crypto... [14:22] It's a very reactive industry anyway because everything is moving so fast and people are shipping stuff every day and you're constantly looking at competitors. It's just a very fast industry anyway, but those – [14:34] Especially like [14:35] the Luna staff, when that first started happening, I was like, man, this is insane. And so the pace of work was crazy. And then like... [14:43] Yeah, it just happened really quickly. [14:48] Maybe because it happened so quickly. [14:50] it will rebuild in a different way very quickly. I don't know. I'm feeling fine about it, but it was just like, I think that was the most surprising thing. Yeah, totally. Okay. Hey, next question. Next question. [15:00] Favorite moment. Okay. My favorite moment. [15:04] This is going to require some explaining of who these people are. [15:07] But it's worth it in my opinion. [15:10] So we have someone on our, the founding team of voice club. Her name is Diana. She has worked with, [15:16] me, us for years. She is [15:20] a very... [15:22] like a [15:23] incredibly creative. She's responsible for a lot of the hilarious stuff happening on Instagram. She's a creative mind. She's also incredibly beautiful. So she's like a very tall Australian [15:38] She was on Australian's Next Top Model. Yes. Just for context. Yes. Like she's literally on that. She's literally a supermodel. And...
[15:46] She's the best lover. She's a, has a high person. She's a high, high personality type person. She takes up the whole room. She's very, she's, she's very, she's an artiste, very creative, very empathic. I'd say she's like, she's a very like. [16:02] She really likes to connect very deeply. She feels. Yeah. She's a feeler. Yeah. So she comes to Bogota with us for, and she's still learning on her crypto journey. She is still learning, um, as we all are. And so she's, [16:18] We go to Bogota. [16:20] We're doing some events with Ave Granstow. [16:24] And they were so fun. And one of them is this dinner where we've invited like 40 people, like 40 influential people who are at DevCon to like come together, share a meal, network, whatever. [16:35] Thank you. [16:36] And it was this very cool space. Like, it was great. And we're getting there. We're setting up. There's, like, a DJ. Like, it's a good vibe, whatever. And everybody's dressed up. And we had some merch that was... [16:51] Like... [16:52] just... [16:53] Very cool Gua Sha stones with the Boys Club logo engraved in it. Obsessed. People were losing their mind. [17:00] So when we're getting there setting up, these two guys come in and they're like, hey, I'm [17:05] big dudes and I thought they worked at the restaurant and then I realized, oh no, they're private security for people who are coming to this dinner. And they're like, we need to know where the entrances and exit are. They're like manning the door. And I was like, oh my gosh, wow, this is crazy. Like I've only heard about this in movies.
[17:22] So people start showing up. One of the people is Stani, who is the founder of Aave. [17:28] The nicest guy. Kindest man. Oh my gosh. He's so kind. I love, I love. I love him. He's so sweet. He's so like just, and he is... [17:38] So successful. [17:39] Oh, so unassuming. Yeah. He's like wearing a t-shirt, like he's chill, like whatever. But also not like chill. He's not like a bro at all. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I just mean like for how successful he is, he's so like relaxed. Like he's just like, he wasn't like stressed out about anything, whatever. Yeah. And he was like, this is so great. He was so nice. Just like the nicest. And very open, I think. And so supportive, like whatever. But like by far, this guy is like... [18:02] By leaps and bounds. [18:03] the most... [18:05] successful, wealthy... Financially successful. ...person in the room. Yeah. And we had done it. We had decided, are we going to do a science eating? Are we not going to do a science eating? Whatever. [18:17] And right before the dinner. [18:19] Diana was like, who the fuck is doing this dinner with us? And I was like, okay, okay, okay, Diana. You need to know some of these people. I was like, do not be... [18:28] Loose. Just, I was like, their name is Ave Grandstow. We like talked through it and she was like, okay, okay, okay, okay, cool. [18:34] Anyway, so we all had cocktails and then we start sitting down and I'm looking around the room and I look over and [18:38] And Stani... [18:40] and Diana are sitting down next to each other. And I was just like, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no. And I was just like, this combo is like, it's like a turtle and a dog, like just like sitting together. Like, I was just like, I don't know if this is going to work. And then I sit across from them and you and I look at each other and we're just like, oh man, is this, was this, is this what we wanted? And then
[19:02] Ten minutes later, they are having the best time. And I look over and Diana is literally gua sha-ing Stani's face. And she was like, no, Stani, no, Stani. It's up. [19:10] It was... [19:11] It was amazing. It was so perfect and such a perfect encapsulation, I feel like, of like what Boys Club is all about, where it's like, we're all having fun. We're all like, are not taking ourselves too seriously. And like... [19:25] We all really love skincare. And it was a really nice moment. It was. To be a fly on the wall of that conversation. No idea what they were talking about. No idea. Yeah. [19:35] So it was great. But shout out to Stani. Oh, big shout out to Stani. Shout out to Diana. [19:41] Okay, that was my favorite moment. What was yours? Okay, my favorite moment was... [19:47] Permissionless? [19:49] Okay. West Palm Beach, Florida. You love West Palm Beach. My favorite moment was... [19:55] So we shared a house with like... Oh my gosh, this is so fun. It must have been like seven... [20:00] Seven of people who are on the boys club, like in the boys club, three bedrooms, seven people, three bedrooms, seven people. And, um, [20:10] Yeah, it was just that. It was just like the sharing in the house and that sort of weekend. It was like camaraderie was just really at an all time high. The party that we had there was... [20:19] I mean, I didn't have fun, but it was like, it was, it was a good time. You didn't have fun because you were just stressed. You were throwing events are stressful. Throwing events are, it's really stressful. Um, but it was just really fun to like be with a bunch of people in Boards Club and like be talking about.
[20:36] I don't know, just... [20:37] what we want to do with boys club and also just whatever and going out and having fun. And all those women are like, that were in the house are like, so crazy. [20:47] Like, [20:48] Just really like ambitious and accomplished in their careers. And even if they're young, they're like, you see like the trajectory for their careers and you're like, man, you're like really going to go off and do some amazing things like Riyanka and Parker, like especially. [21:02] And [21:03] I don't know, just to have like [21:05] seven... [21:06] of that type of woman in sharing a house. And there not be any like alpha conflicts or like, it was all just like. - There was no bad moments. [21:16] No bad moments. And like all like that. [21:18] that four of that type of woman, like that so many of that type of woman can like be together [21:24] And... [21:25] And also be building something. I mean, I think it's like, that applies to a boys club too. It's like, of course there's conflicts, but they're not like... [21:31] I don't know. It's not like the conflict that I think like... [21:36] mainstream media would want you to think would come out of big media that was my favorite that was so fun that was a great moment favorite failure okay my favorite failure i wonder if we're gonna have the same favorite failure um i don't think so because mine's okay but i'm personal failure personal failing [21:53] My favorite failure is talking about something on this podcast that I shouldn't have. Oh, wow. We're going to bring it up again? [22:03] Okay. So I brought up a while back that...
[22:09] I was asked to do some video work for an NFT platform and I was very insecure about it. I was very insecure about how it went because I'm not an NFT person. Like I'm not like a collector. And then I went on this podcast and I talked major shit about the whole experience and [22:27] And then... [22:28] And the woman who set it up from this NFT platform was wonderful. Like wonderful throughout the whole process, like prior to me talking shit. And then she sent me the nicest email because she listens to this fucking podcast. Yeah, we had no idea that she was going to listen. No idea. And she was like, I'm so, she was like apologetic. And I was like, I'm an asshole. Like I am an asshole. Big team. I literally emailed her back and I was like, her people, her people. I'm so sorry. Like this is totally on me. You were wonderful. Like da, da, da, da. And I was like, man. [22:58] Shut the fuck up. Just shut the fuck up. Was like my main feeling. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's a... [23:04] There's a Bo Burnham, uh, [23:06] Quote, which I know you're not like super into Bo Burnham, but. Oh, well now I am that he might be dating Phoebe Bridgers. [23:11] Oh, really? It seems like she broke up with Paul Mescal or whatever and is dating Bo Burnham now. [23:16] Oh, he's married. [23:17] Oh, oh, Bo Bruno. Wait, who's the guy who has the musical thing that you... [23:21] Yeah, Bo Burnham. [23:22] *gasp* [23:24] He's married. Oh my gosh. Homewrecker. Wait, I knew something going on this. Phoebe Bridges, homewrecker. You heard it here first, breaking news. [23:30] okay what what happened okay so Bo Burnham has this bit where it's like um [23:36] would anybody... [23:39] Shut the fuck up about anything ever.
[23:43] it's i'm totally like that's not right but yeah i'm butchering it but it's it's really good anyway yeah that was definitely a shut the fuck up moment i love it okay favorite failure okay so my favorite failure was shipping out the merch [23:55] which we did a couple earlier a few months oh my god how i'm literally wearing the t-shirt how could i forget yeah so honestly the whole merge process was kind of horrendous um [24:07] So... [24:08] I mean, there's lots of moments we could talk about, but basically... [24:13] We just, I think what, what I loved about it was just how exposed, how dumb you and I are about so many things. Like we just like wade into stuff and we're like, we're going to figure it out. And we do figure it out in fairness. Like, [24:26] We banded together and we worked through it. But basically like... [24:32] Yeah, we shipped out like 500 items. Individually. Individually by ourselves. [24:38] from my house in Nashville and like we're using my like little shitty prints like inkjet printer that doesn't work that literally doesn't work you have to keep changing which computer you were printing stuff this is like so insane [24:50] And we had like all these like packages and we had to like then figure like every step of the way it was like. [24:54] "Okay, first we have to figure out, like, how are we going to print the labels?" [24:57] And then it was like the whole, like, it was like four hours. We're a target. We're a costo. And then it was like how, okay, we got these things. Like what's going to be the process for like bagging everything? And then it was like two hours to figure out like what's our process going to be. And then it was like two days of packing everything up. And then it was like, okay, now we have like six huge boxes of all these things that like some are going to post office, some are going to FedEx.
[25:22] And then we had to figure out the process. So that was just... And also, at the end of the day, I made $0 from the merch. We broke even with shipping. Because we ended up spending... [25:32] $50 on shipping to Ireland. For several packages. It was so bad. It's like such a mess. We also like... [25:38] You know what? Looking back, though, the main reason why we didn't make money is because we... [25:43] We did all the designs and stuff like that. If we were to do it again, which we are working on, we would make money. So it wasn't just that we had an error. We didn't have errors in calculations as deeply as we are making it sound to be. But we did have a lot of shipping cost errors. Oh, shipping cost errors. Totally. Because we didn't think about international shipping. We were like, sure, I don't know, 20 bucks? And it was also like post-pandemic where everything costs $140 to ship anything. Yeah, that was the biggest failing. [26:13] I do think that... [26:16] I remember feeling like my husband was in town too. [26:20] feeling like really entitled to him just like being really nice to me and like wanting to help and he was just like he did help he did help he did help and i and i but you know that feeling when you're like why aren't you helping more like that feeling like why aren't you up yeah it's a great it's a great feeling and he was just like this is [26:38] You're fuck up. And I was like, you know what? You're absolutely right. You are absolutely right. And you know what? [26:45] It all worked out in the end, but wow. It did work out. You're completely right. It is a perfect encapsulation of...
[26:53] the way that we approach things. [26:55] Just send it. Just send it and we'll deal with the consequences. [26:59] Okay, favorite meme. [27:02] Okay. I have two. These aren't really memes. They're more, I mean, they are memes, but they're not like... [27:08] Very popular. They're more like photos. Okay. So my very favorite one is... [27:13] the start the rapture [27:14] Oh my gosh, Dina. That was mine. [27:19] I mean, I think that's just a testament to how good it is. It's perfect. Okay, so just so we can finish the Thought for People. So it's Start the Rapture. It's an illustration of... [27:30] of Jesus on the phone, like making the call to start the rapture. So, um, Lincoln show notes. It's so great. Oh, it's so good. Well, mine was, um, [27:38] that start the rapture with Instagram post that we had, um, where that's the image. And then the caption is us watching SBF and CZ fight on Twitter. And then later, [27:51] Someone retweeted it. I think it was from Boys Club. I think it was Rachel. And said, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for this to be prophetic. [27:59] Because it was like pre... it was when it was sort of like lighthearted Twitter back and forth. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway. My favorite use of that from us was when someone... [28:10] Um, [28:11] called Boys Club mainstream at, I can't remember what conference it was, but like someone was like talking shit about Boys Club and they were like, oh yeah, I don't know, whatever, they're like so mainstream. And it got back to us and...
[28:24] I was like, man, that's when you know. That's when you know. That's when you know. That's when you got to send it. You send the meme. Start the rapture meme. And then my second favorite one, which is really very niche. And I think I'm the only person who really loves this meme. But it's the Kendall... [28:40] Kendall Roy from Succession. So good. [28:42] It's the photo of him where it's like he's eating a salad and it says, I'm really happy in my headspace. And it's from... [28:49] The episode where he's like having, I think he's having a meeting with like a journalist. Oh, okay. And she's like trying to, he's like trying to portray that like he's in a really good place right now. And he's got the big necklace and he's like sitting on his balcony. [29:02] No, no, no. He's at a restaurant and they're eating. Oh, really? Anyway, I'll share. Send it through. Send it through. Yeah, I'll send it through. I'm really happy in my headspace. What's that? I'm really happy in my headspace. I'm really happy in my headspace. He's just really trying to portray something and he's deeply... Inaccurate. Yeah. So I think that's one of my favorites. Wow, that's so good. Okay. The other one I love from Succession, and I don't know if this could be classified as a meme, but... [29:30] When he walks into the office and he's like... [29:34] It's like his first day. [29:36] as [29:37] like boss, I guess, Kendall Roy. And he comes in, he was like, I just wanted to come in here and say, [29:43] As things are getting started and say, yo, it's perfect. It's a perfect video. Yeah. I love that. Okay. Favorite interview. Last one. [29:53] Okay, I have two. Oh my gosh, great. One was and is Blake.
[29:58] Just because... [30:00] Genesis episode as well. And it was also the first episode. And we just had like, she's so fun. She's so smart. So great. [30:05] So, and... [30:07] We're just like really comfortable with her. So I think that that is always a good time. And then Gabby.Eath. [30:12] Oh my gosh, that was mine. [30:14] Gabby Donny. Yeah. Favorite episode. I feel like she... [30:19] She's just like... [30:21] She's so smart. And she's also just really interested in the stuff we're interested in. So it was so easy to just be like, okay, we're going to be like, okay, [30:27] tracking with the things that she was thinking about but then she was taking it to like an intellectual level and i was like oh wow okay [30:35] I think probably part of why I liked it is I was like, okay, the things that I'm into, like, they can be smart. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You can take it to the next level. My second one was Stephalindic because it went... [30:49] in such a different direction than I had anticipated. Yeah. And... [30:53] Like just talking about leadership and failure and all these things that I was just like, wow, we're going so deep and I'm so here for it. So that was really great. Yeah. She's wonderful. Yeah. [31:03] I think another favorite was... [31:06] Even though the interview [31:08] we had like a really poor connection, Kevin Owaki. Yeah. [31:12] He, the reason why I really, it stands out for me when I'm thinking about like the interviews that we've done. Um, [31:17] Was mostly because of how surprising it was. Like I was really, both of you and I were really nervous for that interview because we were like, man, he's an engineer. Yeah. Like he's like really smart in a way that like we're not. Yeah. And like, I don't know how this is going to go. I don't know if he understands boys club that we're not going to be able to like track with a lot of what he's saying. Yeah. And like,
[31:34] and so we were just like nervous about it and he... [31:39] came on and just, like, was so generous. So generous. With, like, how he was explaining things and how he was, like, thinking about Boys Club and, like, really thinking about Boys Club was, like, a lot. But, like, he was giving it a ton of space and, like, making it really, really big for us to be thinking about as well. And I think... [31:55] That was just like, I just love to be... [31:58] Love to be surprised. Yeah, I think there was just like... [32:01] He's such a figure in this industry. And then to see like just a genuine kindness and like – [32:08] an openness about what... [32:11] people can be, what they can work on, like how and what Boys Club would be. That was truly like encouraging. [32:18] And not being like engineering centric. Yeah. Like he is an engineer and that's like how he was approaching – that's how he approaches his work. But like – [32:24] recognizing that there's space... [32:26] And there needs to be a lot of space for... [32:29] people in this industry who-- - Yeah. [32:32] Who don't. Who aren't technical. [32:34] Yeah, technical. Yeah. [32:36] What a year. What a year it's been. [32:39] Hey, Natasha. Yeah, Dina. Who is this podcast sponsored by? This podcast is brought to you by MoonPay.
